CBRN Decontamination Trailer
Multitasking Decontamination Station in Trailer which provides a full range of decontamination capabilities (people, vehicles, equipment, materials, etc) in a compact and ergonomic system which could be deployed in 12 minutes in any Hazmat incident scenario.
The term “First Responders” refers to teams and individuals responsible for managing the immediate and short-term effects of a CBRNe incident. This includes teams deployed in the CBRNe incident scene belonging to Police, Firefighters, Health services and Civil Protection, as well as medical staff of hospitals and crisis management institutions.
Main objective of First Responders is to minimize CBRNe incidente effects and consequences by carrying out a rapid deployment of all necessary CBRNe capabilities: Protection, Detection and Decontamination.
Saving and protecting lives is the ultimate goal of these First Responders, and CBRN Intervention Protocols should be developed for effective and efficient management of this HILP (High Impact, Low Probability) incidents.
In this sense, the “Guidelines for First Respondents to a CBRN Incident” published by the Civil Protection Group, NATO Civil Emergency Planning is one of the main references in the developed countries about the protocols and capacities with which Defense and Security Agencies and Institutions of the countries to deal with an incident with radiological, chemical (CWAs or TICs) and biological agents. Considering CBRN incident in its broadest sense: whether caused by a terrorist attack or by an accident.
This “Guidelines for First Respondents to a CBRN Incident” highlights four main phases in managing these incidents:
Information Gathering, Assessment Dissemination
Scene Management
Saving and Protecting Life
Additional/Specialist Support
CBRN protocols consider it necessary to have Decontamination Capabilities in the second, third and fourth phases.
In the second phase, for the decontamination of people and emergency materials.
In the third phase, for the decontamination of people and all their personal properties.
In the fourth phase, for the decontamination of First Responder Interverners (including their Protection equipment and vehicles), decontamination of the hospitals used to treat those affected, decontamination of the buildings and grounds of the scenario.
RELIDE CBRN Decontamination Trailer provides in an integrated platform (decontamination trailer) Decontamination capabilities required by First Responders, Hazmat Response Teams and Specialist CBRN Units to manage any scenario of Hazmat incidents, especially in urban areas, city centers and in the protection of Critical Infrastructures.
Decontamination Trailer could be towed by light or heavy vehicles and could be deployed in 6 minutes.
It is a Mobile CBRN Decontamination Station of rapid deployment, which provides a complete scope of CBRN Decontamination Capabilities:
Personnel Decontamination
RELIDE as standard equipment includes one Modular Mobile Decontamination Showers, which provides personnel decontamination up to 48 people per hour (considering decontamination protocol of 3 minutes per person).
Portable Decontamination Shower has two decontamination lines, and in each of the lines, the two decontamination phases of people can be carried out (Decontamination and Rinse). In addition, its modularity allows the Portable Shower to be enabled with 2 different configurations: one for valid persons and another for injured persons in need of assistance or persons with disabilities.
Materials and Equipment Decontamination
Decontamination Equipment ATILA provides steam decontamination capabilities (up to 210º) for the decontamination of First Responders Protection Suits, helmets, boots, weapons, etc.
Vehicles Decontamination
RELIDE as standard equipment includes a complete set of decontamination lances for each of the decontamination equipment: 3-in-1 Decontamination Lance SICUT liquid, Steam Decon Lance and Underchasis lance.
Decontamination Equipment ATILA delivers a high-pressure decontamination output (from 20 to 90 Bar) which provides a decontamination capacity up to 16 light vehicles per hour (considering decontamination protocol of 3,8 minutes per light vehicle).
Decontamination of Sensitive Materials and Electronic Equipment
RELIDE as standard equipment includes eDecon10 : portable decontamination system for decontamination of sensitive materials and electronic equipment. eDecon10 provides to First Response and Hazmat Response Teams capabilities for the decontamination (manually) of electronic equipment and sensitive materials contaminated with chemical agents while preserving the functionality and integrity of those electronic devices.
This capability is especially important in the Defense and Security of Critical Infrastructures, currently one of the biggest concern about hazmat and CBRNe incidents worldwide.
RELIDE is developed according STANAG 4653 Combined Operational Characteristics, Technical Specifications, Test Procedures and Evaluation Criteria for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Decontamination.
