Under title “Aragonese disinfection equipment for Armed Forces in their fight against COVID19 from Spain to Egypt”, the newspaper Heraldo de Aragón highlights, on the one hand, the use of Hispano Vema CBRN decontamination equipment by Armed Forces from several countries of the world have carried out in missions to fight the COVID19 pandemic. Explaining the cases of the Spanish Army in Operation Balmis and the Chemical Warfare Department of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
On the other hand, Heraldo de Aragón also highlights the commercial activity of Hispano Vema throughout the year 2020. In an international context inevitably marked by the evolution of the coronavirus COVID19 pandemic, the specialist CBRN units of both Armed Forces and Emergency and Disasters Agencies around the world have accelerated some of their programs to increase or upgrade their CBRN decontamination capabilities.

Certainly, the health crisis caused by the coronavirus COVID19 pandemic has alerted about the High Impact, Low Probability (HILP) events, also known in the academic literature as the “Black Swan theory”. In other words, events with a low probability of coming up (even sometimes considered unlikely) but whose impact and consequences are of great socioeconomic significance.
In this sense, Defense and Security Ministries and Agencies throughout the world are applying the lessons learned in the management of the coronavirus COVID19 pandemic to manage CBRN or Hazmat incidents, caused by chemical, biological or radiological agents. Trying to update or enhance the endowment of their equipment and systems for the CRBN incidents management
In its article, the Heraldo de Aragón underlines the significant increase in the interest of Specialist CBRN units both in systems for CBRN decontamination of critical infrastructures (as part of their protection protocols) and in mobile multi-role decontamination stations.

Especially relevant is the development of mobile CBRN decontamination stations that are increasingly compact and ergonomic, which provide Specialist CBRN Units with a tool to react quickly and efficiently to any scenario in which CBRN incident has occurred: critical infrastructures, urban centers, open fields, interiors of buildings, etc. and that has been caused by any type of chemical, biological and radiological agent.
